Vis Island

VIS – can be described as an island of many beaches and hidden coves. It is one of the oldest inhabited islands in the Adriatic sea, with a lot of archeological remnants and sites that you can visit. Ancient Greek remnants, Roman thermae, beautiful Renaissance villas and stunning natural landscape were one of the reasons for choosing the island as a venue for the Hollywood movie ‘Mamma Mia’. With a turbulent past, especially in WWII, it is now an amazing diving location with unrealistic airplane wrecks. American newspapers Harper’s bazaar recognized Vis as one of the 3 most romantic destinations in the world and European best destination portal recognized Stiniva beach as one of most beautiful beaches in Europe.

And only 15 minutes from Vis is one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in Croatia – Blue Cave on Biševo island discovered in 1884.
