Šolta Island

ŠOLTA- his beautiful little island, situated near Split has so much to offer. Numerous family runed farms, olive groves where you can learn the art of oil making, vineyards of recently revitalized, autochthonous grape variety and wine Dobričić, local honey production, many beautiful wild coves and bays on the south. It also has one of the most beautiful little marinas in Croatia in the old little fishing village Maslinica beneath Martinis Marchi Castle from 1708.

Throughout its stormy history, Šolta had been attacked, defended and conquered by different rulers, but it always weathered all storms.  In the more peaceful times, it served as an inspirational place for numerous artists. Conquerors, artists and farmers, all of them left an indelible mark on it.
