Mljet Island

MLJET –this relatively small, but stunningly beautiful island is the most forested island of Adriatic sea. One third of it is protected as a national park, which is one of the highest degrees of protection in Croatia which is due to the outstanding beauty and richness of flora and fauna. It is also a home to numerous beaches, fish and lobster fishing grounds, exceptional historical and cultural monuments and beautiful caves (with Odysseus cave as the most famous one. It recently got to the 5^th place of Forbes magazines ‘undiscovered Mediterranean islands for travelers.’
