Dubrovnik

DUBROVNIK – situated in the southernmost part of Croatia and is a ‘true jewel of the Mediterranean’ as said by Lord Byron is one of the most visited cities in Adriatic. Vast and rich history, magnificent architecture of the ‘Old town’, the everlasting, 1940 meters long city walls with numerous towers and forts and the beautiful island of Lokrum had always been an inspiration for travelers, poets and romantics. Lately it has become a famous filming venue posing as a ‘Kings landing’ in Game of Thrones series, Robin Hood, Star Wars and many others. Dubrovnik was inscribed on the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites in 1979. Dubrovnik is famous for its Stradun, the principal and the oldest street in the town is Stradun. Dating from the period of the Dubrovnik Republic, the Franciscan monastery still maintains its pharmacy in operation. It was founded in 1317, the same year as the monastery, which makes it one of the oldest working pharmacies in Europe. Alongside the rich history, Dubrovnik offers many different activities like ‘Dubrovnik summer festival’, famous night and beach clubs.
